Ananta (अनन्त)

Noun: Comes from Sri Sri 108 Sri Pandit Anant Das Babaji Maharaj, our spiritual Guru and source of all strength and inspiration

Adjective: Means endless or infinite, final goal for our intended services (sewa) in Vrindavan (Vraj)

Why do sewa in Vraj?

te prāpnuvanti mām evasarva-bhūta-hite ratāḥ ….Bhagavad Gita 12.4.

Persons engaged in the welfare of all, at last, achieve Me (God).

According to the Padma Purana, there are twelve principal forests in Vraj situated east and west of the river Yamuna. In the last 250 years, the extensive forests of Vraj have been subjected to urbanization. The forest cover has been whittled away to only a few remaining spots. Providing essential services in these lesser-known areas of Vraj tackles inadequate living conditions, food insecurity, educational barriers, and healthcare deficiencies while ensuring environmental sustainability. This support allows the saints and vrajwasis (residents of Vraj) to live peacefully in their cherished sacred place.

While Vraj sees rapid urbanization, city life does not assure sustained contentment. Gloablly, modern life pressures have led to rising rates of anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Technology and urban living exacerbate feelings of loneliness and social isolation, further impacting mental well-being. Associating with and providing services in Vraj not only supports the residents of Vraj but also provides a sense of purpose and belonging to those who contribute to these acts of service.

na tathā hy aghavān rājanpūyeta tapa-ādibhiḥyathā kṛṣṇārpita-prāṇasTat-puruṣa-niṣevayā …. Srimad-Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana) 6.1.16

Even if a sinful individual participates in serving the Lord's devotees, they will be completely purified. This purification cannot be achieved through any other means.
